Opening Night with Placido Domingo @ Dubai Opera on 31st August 2016 Dubai Opera will launch with a concert by legendary Spanish tenor and conductor Plácido Domingo. Described as the ‘King of Opera,’ Domingo has performed over 4,000 times and in 147 roles. He has even claimed a Guinness World Record for the size of his repertoire and for having received 101 curtain calls after a performance – Verdi’s Otello at the Vienna State Opera.
